Nylon oder Polyester Paracord?
Aufgrund der Popularität des Parakords gibt es viele Varianten. Die Mehrheit der Paracord-Benutzer bevorzugt Nylon. Nylon fühlt sich natürlicher an als das plastischere Polyester. Außerdem ist Nylonparakord elastischer, was von Knöpfern als angenehm empfunden wird.

Der Begriff "Milspec Paracord" wird für Paracord verwendet, das nach den strengen Spezifikationen des US-Militärs hergestellt wird und sich sehr gut zum Knüpfen im Freien eignet.
